750 children aged 0-14 are diagnosed with cancer each year.

Australia continues to have one of the highest rates of childhood cancer in the world, with over half (48%) of all children diagnosed with cancer aged under 5.

Leukaemias are the most common type of cancer diagnosed among Australian children, accounting for around one third (33%) of all cases.

84% of children will survive at least 5 years after a cancer diagnosis due to advancements in treatments.

Childhood Cancer Grant

LCIF offers grants to Lions districts and multiple districts in amounts from US$10,000 to US$150,000. The goal of the LCIF Childhood Cancer Grant Program is to improve the quality of life for children receiving treatment and their families.
